Armed thieves got away with cash during business holdups this weekend.
Jackson Police Officer Colendula Green said the first armed robbery happened just before 10 o'clock Saturday night at the Sunrise Food Mart at 5675 Highway 18.
Workers told investigators that a man armed with a shotgun entered the business and demanded cash.
There is no description of the robber.
No shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.
About three hours later Jackson officers said an armed robber in a super hero mask held up a clerk another business.
J.P.D. responded to the call around one a.m. at the Community Store at 4888 Watkins Drive.
The store worker told investigators that a man wearing a Spider Man mask walked into the store and locked the door behind him.
The female clerk said he then acted like he had a gun and made her turn over the money.
He then fled the store.
