An accident Wednesday afternoon temporarily closed all westbound lanes of Interstate 20 between Highway 18 and Clinton.
A flatbed 18-wheeler collided with a Toyota Corolla sedan around noon. The sedan was badly damaged and ended up in the woods alongside the highway.
There was no immediate word on the extent of injuries.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation said a second accident occurred at this same location about two hours after the first one, further delaying westbound traffic.
