Update: City of Jackson begins to improve website

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The City of Jackson is making changes to its website, after our story aired Thursday.

Late Friday afternoon, a picture of Councilwoman LaRita Cooper Stokes appeared where her husband's picture used to be. However, there's still one picture of former Councilman Kenneth Stokes that still has to be removed. It's a group picture of the council. City Spokesman Chris Mims assures us that a new group picture will be taken next week.

Mr. Stokes' biography was also removed from the page on Thursday.

Unfortunately, some of the dated information and dead-end links are still on the site.

City Spokesman Chris Mims tells us they're looking for a new webmaster, and an entire website overhaul should be coming soon.
