Arson investigation follows family feud shooting

TCHULA, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A family feud in Tchula that left one man shot this weekend has escalated to arson according to investigators.

A Tchula home went up in flames around 11:30 Saturday night on Front Street in the Holmes county town.

Police Chief Carl Shaffer said two people are in custody and a third is being sought in the arson investigation.

Nineteen year old Rashard Greer and 25-year-old Antonio Proctor, the brother of shooting victim Alzin Proctor, have been arrested on arson charges.

Police said around two p.m. Saturday 22-year-old Alzin Proctor was shot and critically injured following an argument between two families on Highway 49.

He was air lifted to Jackson and is in stable condition.

Chief Shaffer said three suspects are wanted in connection with Proctor's shooting.

Santrell Anderson, identified as the alleged shooter, Fredrick Hogan and Antwon Hogan are wanted by authorities.

Their ages are unavailable and are residents of Tchula.

Investigators said the home that burned belonged to the mother of Santrell Anderson's girlfriend.

Officials say no one was at the house when the fire was started.
