JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Early estimates suggest some 70,000 parade-goers flooded downtown Jackson for St. Patrick's Day.
Both the crowd and clean-up afterward was massive.
But all-in-all police say very few arrests occurred during the traditionally raucous St. Paddy's Day parade.
A police spokeswoman tells us only 8 people were hauled off to jail.
All of them were charged with disorderly conduct.
The Jackson Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates $6.5 million may have been spent this past weekend at the city's restaurants, bars, hotels and other attractions.
