Fight forces Vicksburg High lockdown

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Vicksburg High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a big fight broke out on campus.

Police Chief Walter Armstrong says nine students have been arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. Armstrong said other charges may be filed.

Armstrong says there were no serious injuries and no guns or other weapons were found.

The chief says the altercation between the two groups appears to be retaliation for another fight that occurred a week ago at the Vicksburg Mall.

The nine are being held in the youth detention center until their appearance before a youth court judge.
