The search for a Superintendent for Jackson Public Schools has been narrowed from 71 to 10 candidates.
266 people applied for the job with 13 candidates from Mississippi.
Peggy Hampton, a spokesperson for JPS, says the 10 candidates will be interviewed and the names of the top two to four candidates will be released to the public.
That will be followed by a series of events for public input and to allow interested citizens the opportunity to meet the final four.
