Head-on collision in Richland Wednesday afternoon

RICHLAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Just as the heaviest rain moved through Richland Wednesday, two vehicles collided head-on.

The accident occurred on East Harper Street.

The driver of a Toyota pick-up truck had to be pulled from the vehicle.

The driver of the white Dodge Durango was injured.

Both were transported to local hospitals.

That accident remains under investigation.

Officials on scene would not speculate if weather played a role in this crash.
