The rain continues to be a problem for the morning commute, especially in the eastern portions of the state. Our rain chances stay in the early morning hours, with anticipation of the showers shutting off by this afternoon.
Highs will be in the mid 70s under mostly cloudy skies, winds S 5-10 mph.
Tonight we should clear the slate of all precipitation and most cloud cover. Lows will drop into the mid to lower 50s.
Problems with flooding may still be an issue, particularly along the river bed and small tributaries throughout the state. River flood concerns have already been reported near Pike/ Walthall counties along with Holmes/Attala counties.
Tomorrow we kick off a pattern of very clear and sunny and 'dry' weather. Mostly sunny skies with a high near 80 degrees (or slightly above).
Winds moving from the SW at 10-15 mph; and it stays dry and sunny into the rest of the week and the weekend.
