House where south Jackson murder occurred Thursday nightJACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A 23 year-old man is dead after being shot multiple times Thursday night. Jackson police say the male victim was shot in the face, chest and shoulder. His name is Andrew Rivers. Friends said they called him "Drew."
The shooting happened outside of a home at 3016 Bienville Drive in South Jackson. Rivers was dead when officers arrived on the scene. Phillip Wallace says he knew Rivers well.
"I knew him as a good person, I've been living around here for 13 going on 14 years and every time I saw him he was like keep your head up and just keep rolling on with your life."
Police say no suspect is in custody. Two others, including a 16 year-old male were also shot at the home, but they survived.
