
GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Police in Gulfport, Miss., say a woman who disguised herself with a wig left the scene of a bank robbery with her daughter driving their getaway vehicle.
Deputy Police Chief Leonard Papania tells The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/H8Iocl ) they were in custody in seven minutes Monday after witnesses in the Regions Bank parking lot on U.S. 49 gave information to the first officer on the scene.
Police identified suspects as 57-year-old Evie Mearlene Herrin and 30-year-old Amelia Darci Crew, both of Cleveland, Texas.
They are being held at the Harrison County jail on bonds of $200,000.
Police said the mother displayed a gun when she entered the bank and demanded money. Both face a charge of armed bank robbery.
It could not be determined whether they had attorneys.
