JSU shooter helped police recover weapon

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police say Jarrod Emerson turned himself in to police and helped them recover a weapon used to kill Nolan Ryan Henderson.

Emerson went with his cousin Henderson to the Palisades Apartments near Jackson State, to confront football players who allegedly assaulted him earlier. Henderson was killed when Emerson confronted a group of players, and began firing his weapon.

Emerson is being charged with murder, and his case will be presented to the Hinds county jury.
