MSU student's suspected shooter in court Monday

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY (Mississippi News Now) -

The third suspect arrested in connection with the shooting death of a Mississippi State student from Madison is expected to make his initial appearance in court Monday. 

Trent Deundra Crump, 21, of Flowood is set to make his initial court appearance Monday.

Crump is being held in the Lowndes County Detention Center. Crump is one of three suspected charged with capital murder in the shooting death 21-year-old John Sanderson of Madison.

Sanderson was shot in the chest and abdomen with a .32 caliber weapon March 24th, according to the Oktibbeha coroner.

The shooting happened inside a dorm room on the campus of MSU.

An Oktibbeha County Judge denied bond for 21-year-old Duntae Harvey and 21-year-old Mason Perry Jones of Jackson on Friday.

They are both being held inside the Oktibbeha County Jail.
