Truck plunges into creek, killing driver - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
JPD Officer Colendula Green says police were called to an accident on Old Canton Road at Purple Creek around 11:40 p.m.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart identified the victim as 28-year-old Joseph Correro of Canton.
Investigators say Correro was driving a 2008 chevy Silverado north on Old Canton Road when he lost control and flipped then went into the Purple Creek.
The coroner says the Madison County man was thrown from the vehicle. The truck went into the water, but was not submerged.
Correro died of blunt force trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene.
