There are still no suspects in a frightening armed robbery in Magee. Around 12:40 Monday morning a young Sonic restaurant night manager was ambushed by armed robbers. The 19-year-old had just closed the drive-in.
As Kimberley Warrell got ready to unlock her truck, a masked man came around the front. Alone and vulnerable, she was soon at gunpoint.
"And all I could do was tell him oh my God, please don't and I ducked behind my truck" said Warrell.
"A gun was pulled on her and she pled with them not to hurt her and she ran" said Captain Michael Williams. She got out of the way".
The robbers got away with the night deposit. Magee police are investigating, but have little to go on since surveillance cameras were not working.
The suspects may have fled in a blue Kia according to witnesses who spotted three men running.
