The Sun Returns

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Expect a change up with our weather from bad to 'very' good and perfect for any recreational plans over the holiday weekend.

High pressure, although not directly in our neck of the woods (but located well north) will help change our weather pattern. Instead of the rain and storms of the previous few days in a row, we'll enjoy quiet sunshine.

Highs will be in the mid 70s and winds from the north at 10-15 mph. The only 'slight' drawback from this clear weather pattern may happen during the overnight period.

Tonight we stick with the clear pattern, and the will begin to die down. Mostly clear conditions will allow for it cool into the 40s during the overnight hours. That slight chill in the morning will 'almost' feel cold near sunrise - which is the timing of many weekend festivities. However, it will warm up quickly during the mid morning hours.

Tomorrow the sunshine kicks in and will be the pattern we expect during the entire weekend. Expect the sunshine and temps approaching near 80 degrees and winds will shift at 10-15 mph. Resurrection Sunday service should have no problems from Mother Nature, temps in the 50s in the morning and near 80 in the afternoon; no threat of rain at all.
