JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - The University of Mississippi School of Business Administration and University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Health Related Professions have launched a new part-time option for the online master of health care administration program.

Bethany Cooper, director of corporate relations and MBA/MHA services, told reporters in a news release, the new 3-year, part-time option is a response to the demand they have seen from mid-career professionals and ultimately land leadership roles in the health care industry.

Cooper says students enrolled part time would take two courses each semester -- fall, spring and summer -- finishing in three years.

Clyde Deschamp, professor and chair of general health professions, says an internship is included in the program.
