An extra-wide load made its way through the Jackson area Friday, slowing traffic on multiple highways.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation says the truck was hauling an "ammonia converter" to a chemical plant in Yazoo City.
The truck's width took up two lanes, so traffic was stacked up behind it as it slowly proceeded north on Highway 49 through Richland and Florence, then west on Interstate 20, then north on Interstate 220. It exited the Interstate at Highway 49 north, where it continued on its journey to Yazoo City.
