Man pleads guilty of daughter's shooting death

A man pleads guilty in Hinds County for shooting his daughter in 2011.

Last year 53-year-old Melvin Chandler opened fire shooting Cassandra Chandler in the chest. It happened just outside Terry in April of last year.

The shooting stemmed from an argument about a horse when it escalated into violence. His grandchildren witnessed the shooting.

Melvin Chandler was sentenced to 25 years, with five suspended, for the charge of aggravated assault with a gun enhancement.
