Thor has arrived. It's a 40 ton, 80 foot long and two stories tall, mobile 911 center. It's a state of the art emergency communications center on wheels.
C-Spire Wireless and the builder of this massive rapid deployment vehicle are taking emergency responders on a private tour of Thor. The communications and command center can be leased by government entities in the event of a catastrophic natural disaster such as a hurricane or other emergency.
The private company that owns 'Thor' says it's a one of a kind. Intrado hopes to build more, placing the multi-million dollar 911 command centers in strategic locations throughout the U.S.
