JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A state inmate, who failed to return from a 72-hour pass to Pass Christian, has been arrested by police in Gulfport.
Mississippi Department of Corrections officials say Don Brown was on a 72-hour pass from the Leake County Jail in Carthage, but failed to return to the facility on Monday. He was arrested Monday night in Gulfport.
Brown is serving a 10-year sentence from Harrison County for drug possession and delivery.
Corrections officials say Brown will be taken to the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl. He faces an additional five years in prison if convicted of escape.
