Armed robbery suspect sentenced in Hinds County

Jackson, MS (WLBT) - Cortez Washington learns his fate in one case and must face a judge again in another case.

A Hinds County Circuit Judge sentenced him to 25 years for the January 2010 armed robbery of the Waffle House on Interstate 55 at Northside Drive. Ten years of his sentence were suspended, so Washington must serve 15 years in prison.

Officials from the Hinds County District Attorney's office says Washington is also facing another armed robbery charge in Hinds County in another case.
