MADISON COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Movie lights are ready for action this weekend in the metro at the 13th Annual Crossroads Film Festival.

More than a hundred 40 films will be on the big screen, about half of them have a Mississippi connection.

It kicked off Friday evening, but you still have time to catch most of the action on the big screens at the Malco Grandview Cinema in Madison.

Crossroads organizers say movie goers will have their choice of films to watch this weekend.

"There are films from about 20 different countries. So, great variety for people. Anything from an animated short film to a feature length documentary or a feature narrative, country music, football," said Nina Parikh, CrossRoads Co-Director.

The film festival will continue until Sunday.
