Winds will increase over central and south Mississippi today as a big storm system continues to evolve in the Plains. Southerly breezes and sunshine will combine for another warm day. I expect highs in the lower and middle 80s this afternoon.
Sunday will be warm and breezy as well.
The cold front in the Plains will head east to our area by Monday. Rain and storms will move through Monday morning into the afternoon. Some severe weather is possible, mainly in the form of strong winds.
The front will stall over Mississippi. This will give us another round of storms for Tuesday.
The rest of next week will be dry and warm.
