BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Police are investigating a multi-vehicle accident involving injuries Saturday afternoon in Brandon.
Officers were called to I-20 eastbound at the exit 59 off ramp shortly after 5 p.m.
Brandon authorities would only say the crash involved three vehicles.
A small blue pickup truck sustained major front end damage.
The engine of a blue Honda was lodged in a tree line while a gold BMW SUV was stopped on the edge of the roadway.
Both lanes of traffic were temporarily closed to allow a helicopter to air lift one of the injured to a local hospital.
The names of the crash victims and their conditions have not been released.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
