RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
More than a 140 films will be shown this weekend, many of them at the Malco Grandview Cinema in Madison.
The 13th annual event attracts filmmakers from across the globe. However, the diverse selection could be viewed as a reflection of how the state has put the film industry in the spotlight.
"Thirteen years ago we had six founders and our hope was to be able to create a venue for Mississippi film makers, for southern film makers, and at that time we were turning over every rock to find film makers with films to be shown. And now half of our films have a connection to Mississippi," said Nina Parikh, Cross Roads Co-director.
Film festival will wrap up tomorrow,".
