POPLARVILLE, Miss. (AP) - A 42-year-old Picayune psychologist is set to be sentenced Friday for three counts of felony Medicaid fraud in Pearl River County Circuit Court.
Rodney D. Hesson entered an open guilty plea to three counts of his 11-count indictment on April 13 before Judge Tony Mozingo.
The Hattiesburg American reports (http://hatne.ws/HNq9fM ) Mozingo can impose up to five years in prison and $50,000 in fines per count.
Investigators with the attorney general's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit determined that Hesson would meet once with children aged 6 to 16 for psychological evaluation or counseling and then bill Medicaid for multiple visits.
