Lawrence County man died after being hit by train

Jackson, MS (WLBT) - A Lawrence County man has died after being hit by a train.

It happened shortly after 10:00 Monday night in Monticello. Police Chief David Stanley says 46-year-old David Mullins was apparently lying on the tracks when a Canadian National train came through town. Chief Stanley says it appears to have been a tragic accident.
