JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A 19-year-old from Jackson has been sentenced to life in prison without parole by Hinds County Circuit Judge Bill Gowan for a September 2010 murder.

Dante Evans is one of two men charged with capital murder in the shooting death of 45-year-old William Morris.

Morris was gunned down in the parking lot of the Super Save convenience store on Medgar Evers Boulevard while on the job making a delivery to the store.

Evans and co-defendant, 24-year-old Bennie Lee Gunn, were caught on a store surveillance camera with t-shirts over their faces as they shot Morris.

Evans avoided the death penalty by pleading guilty.

The district attorney's office is seeking the death penalty against Gunn.
