Man injured in north Jackson hit-and-run

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Authorities in Jackson are looking for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run Tuesday night.

Eyewitnesses say an elderly man was cutting a patch of grass under the Interstate 55 overpass at Canton Mart Road. A car came through and struck the man, whose name was not immediately released.

The vehicle fled the scene, and no vehicle description has been given.

The victim was taken away by an ambulance.
