JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
An after hours event had attendees walking on the wild side Friday night, at the Jackson Zoo.
Hundreds turned out for the annual Zoo Brew. It featured live music and food samplings from area restaurants.
There were also some Forty Specialty beers available from breweries from across the country.
Tyson and Wingstop sponsored a wing eating contest and there were behind the scene tours of the tiger and aquatic animals. Folks even had the chance for a born to be wild photo op with Harley Davidson of Jackson. And of course, all the proceeds benefit the Education and Conservation Programs of the zoo.
"It's a unique opportunity for craft beer lovers to raise money...it's a fun way to do it,"said Marika Cackett, Public Relations & Communications Manger with JCVB.
Officials say another way you can support the zoo is by buying an annual membership.
