A cold front moved through central Mississippi overnight. Rain and a few storms along the front fizzled out as they moved into the area, though some areas along the Mississippi River did pick up some rain.
Low pressure will intensify near the coast today, pulling east tonight. A few light showers or sprinkles are possible, mainly in south Mississippi. Otherwise, I expect mainly clouds and breezy conditions. Some clearing will take place this afternoon. Temperatures will be much cooler, with highs only in the 60s.
Skies will become mostly clear tonight into Sunday, but it appears we may have another deck of clouds move in Sunday afternoon as even cooler air moves in.
Temperatures will remain below normal through early next week, with highs back into the 80s by Wednesday.
