Fmr. mayor sentenced in inmate sex case

The former mayor of Walnut Grove and prison warden has been ordered to serve seven months behind bars for trying to get an inmate to lie to investigators about a sexual encounter in 2009.

Grady Sims was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Jackson Tuesday.

Sims will also serve six months under house arrest.
