
A Copiah County woman is in stable condition at University Medical Center after being shot at her home Wednesday night.
According to the Copiah County Courier, Lillian Castleberry was shot twice in the back.
Castleberry told authorities a black male attempted to break in her home and he fired when she startled him.
Castleberry was able to driver herself to a neighbor's home and the sheriff's department was called.
Investigators say it is clear robbery was the motive, but no arrest has been made.
