A Vicksburg high assistant softball coach, accused of having inappropriate contact with a player, is out of a job.
Bethany Dykes was informed in a letter Friday that her contract with the Vicksburg Warren School District would not be renewed, according to her attorney Kevin Camp.
He said the school board concluded their investigation and did not find anything improper that Dykes had done.
Dykes was placed on administrative leave on April 20th.
The social studies teacher denied allegations of improper conduct with a student.
"It's difficult when you're in the position of having to sit back and not do anything and you don't have any control over what people are saying," said Camp.
No formal charges were ever filed with Vicksburg police against Dykes.
Camp said she has accepted the board's decision and stands by her claim of innocence.
