Marine from Mississippi killed in Afghanistan

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Marine from Gautier, Miss., has died in Afghanistan.

Master Sgt. Scott E. Pruitt, 38, died Saturday while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, the Department of Defense announced Monday.

Pruitt was assigned to I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Cali.
