80 year old woman missing in Yazoo City

YAZOO CITY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

WLBT News has confirmed Yazoo City authorities are searching for a missing 80-year-old woman.

Search and rescue personnel were called in to assist the Yazoo City police and fire departments.

Monday afternoon, officials searched an area along Grady and 8^th Street.

There is no word at this time on the woman's identity or the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
