Madison officer recovering after minor accident

MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Madison Police Officer is recovering after injuries he sustained responding to an accident around 5:30 Tuesday evening. The wreck occurred on Madison Avenue near Highway 51, in front of the library.

The officer, on a motorcycle, got in a separate accident while responding to the wreck. Police would not release the name of the officer, who suffered cuts and abrasions and was taken to the hospital. His injuries did not require a hospital stay.
