Arrest in murder of Jackson rap artist

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police have confirmed they've made an arrest in the shooting death of a Jackson rap artist Thursday.

Forty-year-old Marcus Herring is charged with murder in the death of 32-year-old Timothy Steele at a house on Conner Avenue in Jackson.

Herring was reportedly picked up by U.S. Marshals Friday morning in Jackson.
