FLOWOOD, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Hundreds of people, including law enforcement agencies from across the state, are expected to be in attendance at Pinelake Baptist Church to pay their last respects to Pearl Investigator Mike Walter.
The service began at 2:00 p.m. at the Flowood church.
Walter was killed in a shootout on Tuesday. The fallen officer and three others were trying to serve a search warrant on Carnell Gaines Jr., 30, when the gunfire erupted.
A visitation service was held Friday afternoon at Pinelake Baptist Church after a procession through Jackson and Pearl to the church.
