Swinging Bridge Festival creates carnival atmosphere

It was an afternoon of family fun Saturday in Byram.

Day two of the Swinging Bridge Festival was held at Southpointe Centere.

The annual event offers a carnival like atmosphere with rides, live bands, vendors, children's activities a car show and much more.

All the fun began Friday evening.

Festival goers brought lawn chairs and kicked back to enjoy and evening of music and entertainment.

The Bluz Boys took the stage for an evening performance.

It all wrapped up around ten o'clock.

"The Swinging Bridge Festival is a community family friendly event to showcase Byram and give residents a fun weekend," said Festival spokesperson Wanda Smith.

WLBT is one of the sponsors of this year's Swinging Bridge Festival.
