The community is invited to fill up on some good food while also supporting a good cause on Monday night.
The 15th annual "Take a Tasty Bite Out of Crime" fundraiser is Monday night at Highland Village. Those that come on out can sample food from fifty local restaurants. There will also be live music and entertainment.
Seventy-five percent of proceeds go to the Hinds, Rankin and Madison County law enforcement agencies. The remainder of the money raised supports the Metro One helicopter. Metro One helps twelve local law enforcement agencies catch criminals from the sky.
"Everyone is invited when Metro One lands it is open to the public it is in the Northeast parking lot by Trustmark and we'd like everyone to come out and show their support," said event coordinator Cindy Clegg.
Metro One lands at Highland Village at 6 P.M. The food sampling begins at 7 P.M. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. For more information go to www.tastybiteoutofcrime.com.
