A traffic stop in Pelahatchie resulted in the seizure of thousands of dollars in cash.
An unidentified Florida man was pulled over a seat belt violation around 11:30 Tuesday morning in the westbound lane of Interstate 20 near mile marker 68.
When the driver began to act suspicious, troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol searched the vehicle.
They found $69,000 stashed in the rear quarter panels of the 2008 Chrysler Pacifica.
The cash, in small denominations, was wrapped in plastic packets and coated with diesel grease.
The driver did not claim the money and was let go after receiving a citation.
