Wildlife officials raid Brandon home, one arrested

BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

WLBT has learned agents with the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, along with other law enforcement agencies, raided a Brandon home Wednesday night. 

David Lewis is the owner of the home at 165 Regatta Drive, off Old Fannin Road. He was not there but will be arrested, according to authorities. 

Matthew Jason Richardson, 34, was taken into custody and faces a variety of charges related to the illegal sale and harvest of wildlife, such as alligators. 

Richardson is also charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
