Today we slowly build up the moisture content in the atmosphere as we set up for soaking rain by this weekend. In fact, we could see the showers sneak in as early as tonight, particularly in the southwest corner of the state. Expect a high of 80 degrees with just a 20% chance of rain during the day.
Tonight we keep a close eye on a low pressure system developing of the Gulf Coast area near Houston Texas, it's expected to swing our way quickly. Our chances of rain go on the immediate rise during the overnight period up to 50%. Winds will be east at 10-15 mph.
Tomorrow the rain arrives in full force and we should anticipate it sticking around all day long. The 90% chance of rain will also feature the possibility of strong storms that may turn severe, and we could see some flash flooding as well. Winds will be from the East at 10-15 mph, highs will reach into the 70s.
