Wall cloud looking northwest of Magee shortly after 2PM Saturday afternoon.A couple of tornadic thunderstorms moved across central Mississippi this afternoon. One storm produced a wall cloud near Magee shortly after 2PM. No damage was reported.
Low pressure will continue to track across Mississippi and into Alabama overnight. Clouds and periods of rain/storms will continue. I do not expect any severe weather overnight. Temperatures will drop into the middle 60s.
Rain chances will decrease on Sunday, with the highest rain chances in the eastern third of the state. A few storms are possible, but I do not expect severe weather. Highs will be warmer...near 80 on Sunday.
Overall the pattern for the work week will be drier and temperatures will increase. By Friday, our highs will be back up to the 90 degree mark once again.
