JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The search continues for the shoplifting suspect who eluded police after crashing into a tree, in the front yard of a Jackson home.
JPD officer Colendula Green says units spotted the shoplifting suspect around 3:30 Saturday afternoon and that's when he alluded police.
The black male drove north on State Street and apparently tried to turn onto Cedarhurst Drive when he crashed.
Officers gave chase on foot but could not locate the suspect. Green says the man was wanted in connection with a shoplifting incident at best buy and remains at large.
