Some unemployment insurance payments could be delayed - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
A technology upgrade this past weekend will delay unemployment insurance payments from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.
Residents can file their weekly claim certification online at www.mdes.ms.gov or by calling the Department of Employment Security.
Unemployment insurance payments normally made on Monday will now be made on Tuesday.
The agency says there will be a delay if you file the claim over the phone.
All technology upgrades should be complete, but expect delays if you call the MITS line at 1-866-946-6487.
