Judge delays enticement trial of Rankin Co. man

Posted: Updated:

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - A hearing is scheduled this week for a man charged with using the Internet to solicit a minor.

William Julius Crisler is charged in U.S. District Court in Jackson with using the Internet to entice the minor in December 2010 in Rankin County. He's charged with coercion or enticement of a child.

His attorney has asked a judge to force prosecutors to hand over certain evidence that could be used against him. Prosecutors say they've already handed over the evidence, expect information regarding the victim and the victim's family in accordance with an earlier ruling.

The hearing on the discovery motion is Thursday. The trial July 31.
