Brown wins Democratic runoff for Natchez mayor

NATCHEZ, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Natchez voters went to the polls Tuesday for a runoff in the race for mayor.

Larry L. "Butch" Brown and Phillip "Bucket" West faced off to become the Democratic candidate.

According to the Natchez Democrat, Butch Brown is the unofficial winner with 56 percent of the vote.

Brown advances to the general election against independent candidate Bill Furlow and Republican candidate Bob Buie June 5.
